Pedakakani, 5 km from
Guntur, is renowned for the Kakani Malleswara Swamy Temple. It was built during the reign of Krishnadevaraya of
Vijayanagar Empire. It is believed that the deity cures the sick and drives away evil spirits. The place also has a
dargah and a church.
