Dargakonda




Dargakonda is a holy place at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. It is the northern of the three hills at the entrance to the Visakhapatnam harbor. Sri Venkateswara Konda and Ross Hill are the other two.

The mosque and mausoleum of the respected Muslim saint, Baba Ishaq Madina, is in Dargakonda. Both Hindus and Muslims had a high regard for this saint on account of his miraculous powers of prophecy. Even now, the place is frequented by the faithful and tourists alike.
