Dutch Tombs are found in Hollander’s cemetery near the mouth of the Gosthani River, at
Bheemunipatnam Beach in
Andhra Pradesh. They are obelisk in shape and are embossed with the skull and cross bones motif of sea pirates. The tombs date back to the mid 18th century.
Bheemunipatnam was a Dutch settlement in the 17th century and was a prominent port for rice export in the region. British gained control of the place in 1825.
Other points of tourist interest in the region include the Light House, Clock Tower and the Church of St. Peters.
