Bala Brahma Temple




Bala Brahma Temple at Alampur in Mahabubnagar District and has Bala Brahmeswaraswamy as the presiding deity. According to legend, Lord Brahma was granted the power of creation by this deity.

According to the inscriptions found in the temple, it was built during the 7th century. Bala Brahma Temple is lavishly decorated with sculptures and contains the sculptures of Jogulamba, Durga, Narasimha and several Rishis. The idols of Mukhalinga, Sahasralinga and Mahishasuramardini can be seen in the courtyard. The idol of Mother Goddess in the small shrine located at the temple complex is of great significance.
