Thirumala

Thirumala is a fast growing settlement on the Kattakkada–Neyyar Dam Road in Thiruvananthapuram District of Kerala. The area covers a number of shops, educational institutions, commercial establishments and religious centers. Peyad is five kilometers north-east of Thirumala and National Highway-47 passes through nearby.

Thirumala Kusakode Major Mahadeva Temple is a famous temple here. Karamana, Poojapura and Jagathy are some other important areas near Thirumala.

By road, Thirumala is about 6 km from Thiruvananthapuram Central Bus Station and two kilometers from Vazhuthacaud. Regular bus services are available from Thiruvananthapuram Central Bus Station and East Fort.
