Tenughat Dam




Tenughat Dam, constructed during 1973, is an earth dam built across the Damodar River. It is located at Tenughat in Bokaro District of Jharkhand. This 55 m high earth-fill dam has a length of about 5 km.

It is the main reservoir to meet the drinking water requirements of Bokaro and Chas.
