Started in the later years of the 19th century, the Sacred Heart Church is a Christ centered worship place situated at
Bangalore, in
Karnataka. The church is a rare combination of Gothic and French style of architecture.
This century old church with solid granite rock-blocks, marble interiors, beautifully sculptured statutes and pillars decorated with Corinthian style carvings. The church features typical Roman style side altars, two parallel column towers and a mighty bell from Italy.
The Sacred Heart Church has English, Tamil and Kannada services. There is an all-night vigil on the second Saturday of every month and a Rosary Procession on every Friday evening. The church takes part in social service activities as well.
