Patacharkuchi




Patacharkuchi is a small township and it is the heart of the Bajali Administrative Block in Barpeta District. The National Highway 31 links this place with major destinations such as Nalbari and Barama. It is also well linked with the aromatic tea garden of Hajua Tea Garden. Akaya Satra, the biggest satra in the Bajali block, situated at Akaya village, is at a distance of 6 km to the north of Patacharkuchi. Another attraction is the 500 year old Vaishnava temple, named Bhogeswar Devalaya, situated about 8 km north, in Ulua village on the western river bank of the Kaldia.

Patacharkuchi, forward in academic exposure, is bounded by Dalaigaon (4 km) in the west, Jagdala (13 km) in the north, Barama (7 km) in the east and Bangaon (13 km) in the south.

Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (55 km) is the nearest airport. Nalbari Railway Station is the nearest railway station.
