Nizamat Imambara is situated on the north face of
Hazarduari Palace, in
Murshidabad,
West Bengal. It is the largest in West Bengal and one of the largest in India.
Nizamat Imambara was built by Nawab Shiraj-ud-Daulah and was subsequently destroyed by a fire in 1846. The Imambara was rebuilt by Nawab Nazim Mansoor Ali Khan Feradun Jah, son of Humayun Jah, in 1847.
