Kaikadis are nomadic tribes, who reside in the states of
Maharashtra and
Karnataka. They speak a language known as Kaikadi, which is a member of the Dravidian language family.
Agriculture is the main occupation of this tribe, with about seventy percent of the population involved in it. They also engage in the raising of livestock, particularly horned cattle, buffalo, horses and mules.
They practice some type of ethnic religion. Usually, they worship Brahma, Shiva, Vishnu and Shakti. Many of the tribe members are also involved in ancestor worship.
