Situated at Mohkampur,
Dehradun, the Indian Institute of Petroleum forms the nucleus of research in the areas of petroleum and petrochemicals in India.
IIP is housed in 7 functionally designed buildings spread across a campus of 257 acre. The laboratories are well equipped with state of-the-art equipments. Other facilities include an auditorium, conference rooms, lecture theaters, and a continuously updated library. Apart from these facilities, IIP has 189 residential quarters, 60 guest house accommodations and 64 scientist apartments in the campus.
The Institute is recognized by 12 Universities as a premier research centre for doctorate programs. It has brought out more than 1382 publications and holds the patent for several processes and products. The institute is also a proud recipient of several prestigious national awards including the FICCI, ICMA, VASVIK, NRDC and CSIR Best Technology awards.
