Durgawati town is situated along the
National Highway 2, near the
Uttar Pradesh border, in
Kaimur District of
Bihar. It is about 65 km west of
Sasaram and 26 km north-west of
Bhabhua, the district headquarters. Durgawati is also spelled as Durgauti.
Durgawati Dam, on the Durgawati River, and Hathiadah-Durgawati fall, on the left fork of the Sura River, are the landmarks of the place. Dense with green wood and beautified with the Hathiadah-Durgawati fall, Durgawati is undoubtedly a year-round tourist destination.
