Located on the banks of the
Ghataprabha, Dhupdal is an ideal picnic spot 18 km from
Gokak. The dam, constructed in 1883, across the Ghataprabha is the main attraction. This place is ideal for mahseer fishing. Gokak is approachable through an unconventional low level bridge from here. It is great to watch Ghataprabha River flow below this unconventional low level bridge and winds its way serenely before cascading over a sand stone cliff of 52 m.
The nearby town, Gokak is around 70 km from Belgaum. Ghataprabha Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
