Bellandur Lake is the largest lake in
Bangalore city and its surroundings, spread over an area of 950 acres of land. It was once used by the villagers for swimming and other recreational activities. Today, this lake is subjected to deep pollution with a large portion of Bangalore’s sewage, from two of the valleys namely Challaghtatta and Koramangala. However, restoration work is being carried on here for the preservation of this large water body and the lake is conserved in good condition.
