Amlakhi in
Karbi Anglong District of
Assam is situated about 16 km north of the district headquarters,
Diphu. It is located 13 km to the south of
Bar Dambuk and 24 km to the west of Dimapur.
Barpathar, an archeological site where the remains of an 8th century temple made of square bricks and a stone inscription of Brahmi characters belonging to 5th century were excavated, is easily accessible from here. The industrial town of Naojan is also well connected with Amlakhi.
Dimapur Airport (28 km) and Diphu Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station.
